Joining the Mother Lode Grotto

The MLG welcomes non-members at our meetings and on our novice cave trips. We want you to feel comfortable and know what the grotto is like before you join. We are looking for cavers who will support the grotto and its activities through regular attendance at meetings and participation in trips and training sessions. We believe in careful, conservation- minded caving. We support the NSS and strongly encourage all of our members to join.

You are invited to join the MLG after you have:
                     1. Attended two meetings!
                     2. Participated in one novice grotto trip with its 
                         associated introductory training session!

Mother Lode Grotto dues are:
                    Individual membership ......... $12.00/yr.
                      Family membership .............$15.00/yr.
Family membership includes all other family members, but only one newsletter (Valley Caver) is issued per family.
Membership in the Western Region, which publishes the California Caver  quarterly is an optional $10.00/yr.  Family members are $1.00/yr.

A subscription to the Valley Caver for members of other NSS grottos is $10.00/yr.
